Which size should I choose, M or L?

M is 70 cm long with two height settings and suits lower sofas, beds and boots. L is 100 cm with four height settings and suits taller SUVs, vans and higher beds. The extra length on the L gives a gentler slope at the same height.

Will my pet slip on it?

The surface is a scratch-resistant non-slip carpet, so paws grip going up and coming down. The frame is edge-sealed and processed smooth, with no burrs along the sides.

Does it need assembly, and how do I store it?

No assembly. It arrives ready to use. The frame is fixed, so it does not fold: stand it against a wall or beside a cupboard when it is not in use. The M weighs 3.1 kg and the L 4.6 kg, light enough to carry between rooms or out to the car.

Every hesitant jump adds up. Older dogs, dogs recovering from injury and short-legged breeds take the full landing through their joints each time they get onto the sofa, the bed or into the boot.

This ramp is made from high-quality wood that keeps the grain of the wood itself, processed through several passes so the surface is smooth and burr-free. The panel is thickened and edge-sealed, and the carpet is scratch-resistant and non-slip. The wood is environmentally friendly and non-toxic, so it is safe for a pet that walks on it every day.

Choose your size:

  • M, 70 cm, 2 height settings, 3.1 kg: for lower sofas, beds and boots. Light enough to move between rooms.
  • L, 100 cm, 4 height settings, 4.6 kg: for taller SUVs, vans and higher beds. The extra length gives a gentler slope at the same height.

The ramp arrives ready to use with no assembly. The frame is fixed rather than folding, so stand it against a wall or beside a cupboard when it is not in use.

Measure the height you need to cover before ordering. This ramp is built for small and medium pets that hesitate or struggle with height.

How the ramp works

  1. A hand setting the wooden pet ramp's support leg into a higher notch to adjust the height
    1. Set the height

Lift the support leg to the setting that matches your sofa, bed or boot. The M ramp has two levels of height adjustment, the L ramp four, so the slope stays gentle rather than steep.

  2. A dachshund walking down the wooden pet ramp's non-slip carpet surface from a grey sofa
    2. Your pet walks up

The carpet surface is scratch-resistant and non-slip, so paws grip on the way up and on the way back down, which is the direction most dogs hesitate over.

  3. Wooden pet ramp stored upright against a living room wall
    3. Move it out of the way

The ramp is light enough to lift with one hand when you are done. Stand it against a wall or carry it out to the car, so it is not left in the middle of the room.

A week with the ramp

The jump happens a few times a day. Here is what replaces it.

Evening, on the sofa

You stop lifting

Your dog walks up beside you instead of waiting at your feet for a lift. You set the support leg to your sofa once, and the slope stays where you left it.

Morning, at the car

The boot stops being a wall

You set the ramp against the boot lip and your dog walks in. On the L there are four height settings, so a tall SUV gets the same gentle slope as a low sofa.

Afterwards

It goes back against the wall

You lift it out of the way and stand it against the wall, or leave it in the boot for the next trip. Nothing to assemble, and nothing to take apart.

Will it suit your pet?

The right size depends on the height you need to cover. A longer ramp at the same height gives a gentler slope, which is the part that matters for a pet that is already hesitant.

  • Older dogs and dogs recovering from injury. The ramp removes the impact of the landing, which is the part that loads the joints.
  • Small breeds and short-legged breeds. Dachshunds, corgis and toy breeds reach sofa and bed height without the jump.
  • Cats that need a route up. The same non-slip surface works for cats as well as dogs.
  • Sofas, beds and car boots. M 70 cm suits lower sofas and beds; L 100 cm suits taller SUV and van boots.
  • Large and heavy dogs. The ramp is built around small and medium pets, so check your dog's weight and size before ordering.
  • Measure your height first. Pick the length against the height you actually need to cover, not the room it will sit in.

Ramp or jump?

Most dogs get onto the sofa or into the boot the same way every day. Here is what changes when there is a ramp there instead.

With the ramp Jumping
Landing impact through the joints No walks up and down Yes full height, every time
Grip underfoot Yes non-slip carpetwhatever the floor is
Height you can adjust Yes M 2 levels, L 4 levels No fixed by the furniture
Route back down Yes same slope both ways No a drop, not a slope
Reaches a boot or a high bed Yes L 100 cm, 4 levels Partly only what it can clear
Out of the way afterwards Yes light to move, no assemblynothing to put away

The ramp suits small and medium pets. Measure the height you need to cover before choosing M or L.
